Hookworm-Lumbricus Terrestris
The hookworm's digestive system, is very similar to other nematodes, but there is one big difference. The hookworm gets blood and food from the hooks in its mouth, and then moves through the pharynx and into the intestine. It does not have anything to push the food down, so it relies on its body movements to push the food down. Once pushed down, the food and blood gets pushed through pores where the worm needs it. The waste gets pushed out the anus, like most creatures.
