Great White Shark
The Great White Shark has a digestive system very similar to most sharks. Some key components of the Great White's Digestive System is the mouth, stomach, esophagus, pharynx, liver, gall bladder, intestines, and anus. The Great White will usually swallow its pray whole or will make it into larger pieces. The prey first enters the mouth where the teeth rip apart they prey in order for easier digestion. The food then moves to the esophagus of the shark which will move it to the stomach. The U shaped stomach then breaks down and digests the food. The liver stores extra fat and energy. The spiral valve is twisted or coiled to expand surface area. The gall bladder stores the bile from the liver. After this the spiral valve will lead to the anus and it excretes its waste from there.
