Brown Bear
The Brown Bear's digestive system is very important because it consumes a great amount of food per day. They like to eat salmon, berries, shrubs, small animals, and other types of vegetation. Brown bears are omnivores so they can also eat plants as well as meat. Food is chewed in the bears mouth with the aid of their very strong teeth. Then the food is taken to the stomach by the esophagus. The acid in the stomach will then break down and digest the food. The broken down food then goes to the small intestine where nutrients are absorbed. The the waste travels through the large intestine and eventually to the anus where the bear excretes the waste.
